About the Malibu Company

 No one wins unless everyone wins.  

How simple this truth is. 

 

The Malibu Company was formed to help bring to people the very best in sustainable products. Hand Crafted Products created from nature yet do not deplete the natural world in any way but run in harmony with it and actually help sustain it.  Products that are ideally suited to be used in and around food offering natural anti microcal properties which will always help to safe guard all of us from bacterial and parasites.  Last but not least they are very beautiful and will offer many years of service with minimal care.

All of the materials that we offer are sustainable.  The most directly sustainable line is the Bamboo line.   The Bamboo is harvested every 3-5 years depending on weather at which point harvest is essential to the survival of the bamboo tube as it will brown up and could die if not taken. Than without replanting the bamboo tubes with their invincible root structure will grow back to full height.

The other materials such as olive, acacia,teak and mango are also handled in a very respectful sustainable way. These woods are taken from organic orchards. No trees are ever fallen!   All of the material used in crafting is taken from what falls to the ground and what pruning is done.

All of the bonding agents used are water based,organic, and FDA approved.

How simple the truth is.-  We at the Malibu Company hear Chief Seattle’s words and live by them in the way that we conduct our  business.  We are also very aware of the warnings presented back in 1852  and get involved in eco causes.

 

The Malibu Company was founded in 2005 by Dan Levy.  A retired Disney Imagineer Dan was trained in all aspects of design and business. Much of his work can be seen in the Disney Theme Parks both in the U.S and abroad.

  In his quest to grain a greater understanding of the natural world  and his place in it he spent many years in the Native American Community and was actually adopted into a Native American Family.     

All of our employee and associates live by the same drum beat.  Most are involved in the eco movement in some way and live and think  a very green lifestyle.
